    I cannot wait until all this is over. We are blue in the face with trying to defend mike as much as we can online on the blogosphere. We will not give up! However due to some lazy journalism and understandable family requests we can not at this moment give away crucial details (simply because its not our place to say and allot of things that we are saying is being twisted) We have gone into more then enough detail to try and describe our poor friends life and the kind of great guy that he is to everyone.

    Unfortuantly at this stage there is not more that we can do or say about the situation and we have to put our faith and trust into the hopefully competant investigations by interpol and the irish government.

    Weather its any help or not to anyone i know "set right" and can assure you that this person was a very close friend to mike and is also representing other friends of mike as am i.

    I can also assure you that i do not work with mike and consider myself to be one of the lucky ones that got to have had mike as a friend.

    Once again , everyone has the right to their oppinion which we respect. Just like Mike has the right to rest in peace and not to have childish name calling blackening his name and upsetting his family and friends.

    I think it is fair to say that when this news first came out the country and media had made their minds up. As the hours go by however the story clearly is taking the side of the fact that mike was innocent and that there is no proof of him being involved in any illegal or dodgy dealings.

    Once again thanks to some of the posters for keeping an open mind with this situation and that are waiting for the facts before they cast judgement.

    Allot of people are VERY PROUD TO HAVE KNOWN MIKE and we will cherish our fond memories of him for ever no matter what you say about him.

    R.I.P. MIKE

    this from indymedia

    According to the front page of The Sunday Times this individual was employed with a Galway based security firm and it was they who sent him to Bolivia for some training . According to previous entrys in his Bebo he had been given use of or somehow acquired a new BMW motorcar since his arrival in Bolivia . The name of this security form which allegedly sent him to Bolivia however remains somewhat elusive .

    we are getting closer to the jackpot.

    Regarding Mike Dwyer and the 'Nazi' slur being used against him-below is a link to his list of Facebook friends, a list that includes a number of people of different races-

    Search | Facebook

    People with so-called SS tatoos aren't usually prone to making friends with blacks and Asians, now, are they?

    Regarding Eduardo Flores and his alleged 'Nazism'

    Below is a link to a trailer for a film about his life;

    [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VBWbDXhNrHo]YouTube - Eduardo Rozsa Flores in Chico[/ame]

    Mr.Flores was a Bolivian, whose father was a HUNGARIAN JEW, and his mother was Spanish. The family moved to Chile but quit that country when Pinochet took over. His involvement in the war in Croatia occured when an ethnic Hungarian village was attacked by Serb forces.

    He later converted to Islam.

    It appears Flores was a Revolutionary Conservative as opposed to racist fascist( the latter he clearly was not). His political paradigm seems to have been multi-dimensional, and certainly eccentric. This may confuse and irritate certain people who've been posting on this thread.

    With regards to Bolivia, the town he came from and die in, Santa Cruz, has not only been a hub of anti-Morales sentiment, but traditionally a region that sees itself as culturally seperate from Bolivia North Western highlands, where Morales hails from. Flores seems to have been functioning as an intellectual advocate for Santa Cruz's pro-autonomy sentiment.

    Why Mr.Dwyer was hanging out with Mr.Flores is unknown, but hardline leftists who've talken to oppurtunity to slander the man as a 'Nazi' should be ashamed of themselves, and should apologise.I won't hold my breath, though. Intolerence, fanaticism and sheer crassness has always been a feature of hard leftists as well as rightwingers. I mean, there's people who've posted support on this thread of so called 'Socialist' Yugoslavia. They've interpreted the genocidal campaign for a 'Greater Serbia' as mere defence. And of course, hardcore Ra heads aren't known for their subtlety.

    My take is; Mr.Dwyer may have been some sort of driver or assistant to Flores.I don't think Flores was attempting a coup-the evidence so far doesn't add up. Mr.Flores may have been too vocal in his opposition to Morales, and his killing may have been a subtle warning to other members of Bolivia's opposition-thats the way politics has always worked in South America, whether it's been the left or right in power.

    My condolences go out to the family and friends of Mr.Dwyer, who are very much innocent and grieving parties to this whole affair.

    If you do not want to answer questions, then you do not come on to what is a public debate forum i.e. p.ie.

    You mean you are waiting for the corporate media coverup to bed-in; in the hope that all these pesky questions will go away.

    You mean the corporate media are getting on message. There is a plethora of circumstancial evidence to suggest that he was associated with dubious, possibly CIA-run, right wing extremists; proof that he was mixing with Bolivian right wing elites, links to a cache of assault weapons and attack plans, and employment as a corporate mercenary.
    You'll be telling us about the great work Klaus Barbie did in Latin America next.

    Anyone who defends Shell is a long way from great. I was defending this guy but the more I learn of him, the less I like him.
