Incidentally, has the chap second from left possibly got the 'Operation Glengad Beach' insignia on his jacket and could he be Revesz? Apologies to any innocent parties in the picture, but it is rather unusual to allow a group with real or even replica weapons to cavort in an airport museum. But perhaps they said they were just making a movie?
I've already blown that pic up to twice it's size using a Firefox 3 Browser Addon (but doesn't sadly allow it to save it in the super size after). The insignia on the jacket, nor the document that person in the middle is holding look any clearer having done so.

That pic to me has the appearance of an old geezer giving a "tour" to the others at that location.

Mike Dwyer is less important to the government than IRMS

As do posts from irish IPs to South American blogs

Cathar, the people at that blog should be more concerned about the Bolivian investigative and judicial systems. The handling of the Rozsa Flores case is a complete and utter shambles at this stage. Both witnesses and crucial evidence are being mishandled. Can you imagine the reaction to a similar legal circus in this part of the world, with key witnesses giving press conferences, important evidence paraded in front of television cameras (this is before any such evidence has been presented in a court of law!), a defence lawyer, supposedly with information that implicates Government authorities, asking for an interview with the President to pass on that same information?!! The investigation has been so mishandled that the prosecution case would probably be thrown out of an Irish court.

Bolivia's own Ombudsman has now joined the Bishops' Conference in condemning the mistreatment of the detainees (even the Minister responsible (Rada) has admitted there was abuse, but he is blaming the police!).

In this thread, there have been precious few posters engaged in any naive defence of Michael Dwyer. Early on, a few people who claimed to be personal friends of his denied that he could possibly have been involved. Their reaction is understandable, if entirely subjective. The predominant effort has been to gather pieces of information and evidence, as these become available, and test all reasonable possible interpretations, without jumping too far beyond the facts, but without closing our eyes to those facts either.

As for the report of what Micheál Martin said about ruling out a Garda role in the investigation, I would assume he did not mean that the Gardaí would not investigate, at the very least:

    (a) the role of Tibor Revesz, 'Commander' of the Szekler Legion, in recruiting Mike Dwyer for the Bolivian enterprise.
    (b) the possible presence in Ireland of neo-Nazi groups related to the Szekler Legion (Foireann Fiachra, etc., etc.)
    (c) the possible role of such groups in security work at the Shell Corrib site, and elsewhere in Ireland.
    (d) the role of I-RMS in employing Tibor Revesz and others; the screening processes, background checks, or lack thereof.
    (e) the possible participation by far-right paramilitary groups in exercises organized by 'Airsoft' clubs.

There is plenty for the Gardaí to investigate close to home, without interfering in the internal affairs of Bolivia.

Don't know if it's been posted before.

According to the 'School, course and further training' section of his CV, he did a 'VIP Protection Agent' course run by IPSA London in 2008.

    cahil.tk .... hmmm

IRMS and Tibor seem closely intertwined.

When will the Garda investigation into all this commence? When will Irish journalists start asking ...

asfar as I can establish the various foireann cahil, fiachra etc are team names used by IRMS for its security teams at Glengad. Tibor was in Team Cahil. Its leader? And yes it is a glengad crest hes wearing while standing on the aircraft wing.

President of The Human Rights Foundation (350 5th Avenue Suite 809 NY) is a venezuelan of Norweigan extraction by the name of Thor Halvorssen. He apparently has an interesting past.

Here is a small extract from his wiki entry:

Pérez was elected in 1974 and in 1977 appointed Halvorssen acting president of the Venezuelan state-owned telephone company CANTV; Halvorssen then served as president of CANTV from 1978 until Pérez completed his term.[6][8] As president of CANTV, he was given a military-intelligence identification card, and worked with Venezuela's secret police and intelligence force. When Pérez was elected President again in 1989, he named Halvorssen Venezuela's Special Commissioner for anti-Narcotic Affairs with the rank of Ambassador.[6]

In the ten years between the two Presidential terms of Carlos Andrés Pérez, Halvorssen traveled extensively, spending time in the Middle East, El Salvador and Nicaragua during the US counter-insurgency in Central America; he would later be defended by Nicaraguan Cardinal Miguel Obando y Bravo and by former Contra leader and Nicaraguan Senator Adolfo Calero.[6] He admitted to have been closely associated with Duane Clarridge, the former head of the CIA's Latin American division. Clarridge was indicted for perjury in the Iran-Contra scandal and reputedly planned clandestine mining operations in Nicaragua's harbors during the 1980s.[6][9] He developed contacts with anti-narcotics police in Japan, the UK, and the US; friends commented that he seemed to have developed "a bit of a James Bond complex"[10] during these years, and was "bitten by the James Bond bug".[6]

EDIT: Apologies, that is the father. The Human Rights Foundation guy is his son.

Interesting that the mobile phone number has nine digits.

Not exactly an easy guy to contact so.
