It's pretty low stuff from the Sun.
Add to that the fact that there is no record of any demand or request. Why would they kidnap a Paddy?

I think they're aiming more at the version that he was kept as a kind of indentured servant, kind of like those Indian fellows working on building sites in Dubai. The headline says 'hostage' though, which is quite different. Either way, the story is pure spin, and I fail to see how they could know any of that when they are dead and Dwyer's friends and family had no idea who he was working for. There's someone putting out bullsh1t stories for one reason or another.

As has already been pointed out by another poster, there will probably be political representation at his funeral.
God help the chosen idiots who go to it. Sooner or later, the full truth about that young man will come out and the way things are going, it won’t be pleasant.

Christ that is a weird one to try and pull. I never read the sun, but for a laugh I might do it tomorrow.

PS hope you are feeling better.

I agree that the Irish Sun article sounds like complete garbage, based on absolutely nothing. It is possible that Mike Dwyer was unaware of the full scope of Rozsa Flores' plans, or that he was just plain naive or reckless. But I see little or no possibility that he was being held against his will. At the time of the police assault, he was alone in his hotel room. It would have been easy to leave the hotel at any time, walk to the nearest police station and explain that he had been held hostage.

At a sensitive time like this, and with a grieving family desperate for an explanation, this seems like a prime example of totally irresponsible journalism. They just want to sell more copies of their grubby rag (at the expense of the Dwyer family).

Garbage article from a garbage rag ... perfectly matched ... i wouldn't insult the recycling bin by putting this rag into it

i was in the Dwyer house and they dont care about papers like the sun or any of them stupid ones as they just come up with these storys to sell papers and to be quite honest no one around here bothers with them either as the star put mikes name on their paper before the dywer family were even told about what had happened. to me they should be putting up a full front page saying sorry to the family cause that was just a sick and bad way of doing business. Them stupid papers have caused a lot of hurt around here and will never be welcome here for an sort of story again. and seen as some of you are still having a laugh and what not what about Morales changing his mind about letting an international committee sure to god you call all see that once michael martin said we would go ahead with after asking mikes parents if thats what they wanted morales changed his mind that he has something to hide.

Total bollix. Ideological tatoos state your ideology. Simple as
Ideology is not evidence of criminal or wrong activity of any kind (except perhaps (perhaps) when it signifies membership of a criminal gang eg Crips in LA).

Sh1t analogy. His was new. Your analogy refers to old tatoos where someone has changed their ways
The tattoo angle is evidence that some people have already made up their minds about him and are just taking the pattern to it's conclusion, filling in the rest to fit the mental picture they have already drawn.
