By the looks of things you would have been happy to see them all get the RUC treatment and live happily ever after; bygones be bygones and all that craic.

Quite amazingly audacious that the Krauts are trying this guy. The voted themselves an amnesty in 1969 and are now trying this 89 year old slav POW who decided not to be a slave labourer for a few weeks and then die and who is now dying the old fashioned way.

The trial is being held in Bavaria of all places.
Liquidate labour, liquidate stocks, liquidate the farmers, liquidate real estate.

    By the looks of what?

Calling for a person to get a fair Trial is hardly a Crime is it?

Anyway this dude is so old he aint going to Prison anyway...

in all probablity if he did do these things it was under coercion and if he says that I reckon he would be off the hook.

Loads of innocent Germans died in WWII at hands of the Soviets & their allies , millions were expelled from their Ancestral Lands and many were murdered and raped along the way.

+ some 600,000 German men women and children were killed in the Allied Bombing Raids.

-were any of these people ever put on Trial?

Of course they weren't and the German civilian areas were deliberately targetted at the warmonger Churchill's instruction. I am well aware of the reciprocal atrocities committed by the Red Army also.
However, the SS was a voluntary organisation and it had volunteers from many nations including Ireland. Most were members of the Waffen SS whereas yer man here was Totemkompf.
The issue for me isn't really about punishing him at this point; it's about questioning the fact that he was brought to America on a military vessel and protected for decades.

    So the Germans want him.

Israel overturned his conviction, and now the US is blocking his extradition... hmmm

US is a good friend of Israel no?

    Story here somewhere.
