Following the Gaza war there has been a falling out between Turkey and Israel. As a result Palestinian lawyers acting for families facing eviction have been given access to Ottoman land archives in Ankara.

The palestinians believe these archives will prove that Israelis have forged land documents.

Last year a scam by Israeli settlers near Ramallah was uncovered. In that case the land documents were allegedly signed by a Palestinian landowner in 2004. However, the man had died in 1961.
