Lou Dobbs is a ridiculous person, you only have to watch his program to realize he is a nativist crackpot.

I think many of his methods have been quite protectionist really eg: buy American clauses.
The truth of this movement is beginning to come out.
A lot like Michael Moore- it factors in the populist side of the story rather than looking at things rationally.
In essence they want to make money from it and there is plenty of followers who are more than willing to buy into it on this site.
