Geert Wilders speech on Islamisation of Europe

Heres a link to "The Islamization of Europe"- a speech by Geert Wilders
The New Media Journal | The Islamization of Europe by Geert Wilders

Here is his very scary and now (in)famous video "Fitna". I would urge everyone to have a look at this no matter what your political outlook.

Needless to say he received the usual death threats from adherents to "The Religion of Peace".

The Islamists are enemies of free thought and free speech. But that doesn't mean Wilders isn't a self-promoting tool. A plague on both etc. etc....

Maybe he is as you describe (are not all politicians alike?)
Anyway, so you suggest not to hear him or what he is saying?
And if he says something true or logical, we should ignore it? I'd rather judge the content (and I agree, I should not ignore context)

Anyway, the video above was not related to him.

If the price of "self-promotion" is a different bed each night with armed bodyguards outside the door then count me out. Far from being a self-publicist Wilders is either a masochist or a brave man with a message. I'll go with the latter.

He's an elected official with a penchant for self-indulgence. I haven't seen Fitna yet,
however.. but have no real desire to. I just wonder why politicos do not promote
Freedoms of religions and rather than promote apartheids in same ?

The controversy round his movie was based in his political responsibility rather than in his opinion.

(Oh and isn't Free-speech greeeeeeeeeat when you can privately fund movies when you should be doing your
    job in Parliament??)

Yes indeed. Why bother viewing Fitna when can just go ahead and talk about it anyway.
I dare say Wilders would be happy to "promote freedom of religion" were it not for the fact that Islam is wholly responsible for that "apartheid" of which you speak.

Political-Correctness dominates the European political-class, so fair play to Wilders for having the courage to state that indisputable truth that we must choose between it and the survival of Western civilisation. We can argue about the causes of extremism and Islamic terrorism in the Muslim world, but one thing we should be able to agree on is that we will not accept the erosion of Western freedoms, including democracy, the principle of female equality under the law (I know we're not perfect in this regard but at least we don't relegate them to second-class citizens unlike Iran, Saudi Arabia etc.), freedom of religion and from religion. We must not surrender these principles to the Mad Mullahs in Al Qaida, Hizb ut Tahrir etc. The recent calls from the Archbishop of Canterbury in the UK for Sharia to be introduced for Muslims in the UK reflects a tendency by the Western elites to sellout to those pushing for political-Islam in Western countries. We have to put our foot firmly down and say: no to Turkey in the EU, no to Sharia, yes to freedom of and from religion in the policies of the State. The Leinster House liberals need to go back to defending freedoms instead of capitulating to the PC-brigade and Turkey's trojan-horse agenda of bringing political-Islam into the EU.

Thankfully this site is hosted in the United States, a fact which once left egg on Ian O'Doherty's face (...which he quickly ate). The Incitement to Hatred Act is something which should be repealed as a matter of high priority.
