Iranians burn pictures of Obama - Already

Seems like the thuggish Iranian regime has got some of its loyal grunts to stage a no-doubt 'spontaneous' protest where Barack Hussein Obama's photograph was burned.

Apparently the supposed reason for this outpouring of anger etc etc was

    America’s inaction over Gaza
    .

Poor old Barack. The man promises to talk to Iran, and this is the thanks he gets. He must be wondering what the point is. These extremists are so warped by their hatred of The Great Satan that they react in the same way to all US Presidents, even somebody as benevolent towards the Muslim world as Obama. Although perhaps somebody should have told them that he isn't actually President yet, so can't do anything about Gaza, even if he wanted to. As The Times puts it

Iranian demonstrators have often burned effigies or pictures of US presidents in the past but this appeared to be the first time Mr Obama’s picture had been defaced, a week before his inauguration as president.
I'm sure our resident US-haters will no doubt blame America when Obama's attempts at a detente with Iran inevitably fail. Maybe they might remember this when casting blame

Looks ungracious all right in view of his tentative reaching out. Maybe someone suggested a toast and it got lost in translation?

It would be a disaster for I'mADinnerJacket is Obama went through with direct talks. DinnerJacket's whole foreign policy is based on the US being an irrational enemy.

Every missile that falls in Gaza and every plane or helicopter that launches them is "Made in America". The Israelis don't even have to pay for them. They are gifts from America. How do you expect Arabs to react to America exactly?
It takes more than multi million Obama adverts and image consultants to make things right.
    Image is nothing, Obama.

Unfortunatley Mr. Obama has a lot to live up to if you have been following the great spin machine, fantastic one line slogans and PR masterpiece that got him elected. At the end of the daytere will be very little of this great change he kept on promising. America needs war to run its economy. Looking at the various economic cycles ver the past century it has only been with dropping bombs on Germans, Japanese, Koreans, Vetnamise and Iraqis has virtually saved the state from going under over the past century. A peaceloving administration seems a dream too far. Although maybe a bit premature to be burning the ethogies of Barrack, I think it will only be a matter of time before we all have reason to.

Are you kidding? Bush's wars have hardly been an economic boon--they've only driven the U.S. further into the hole.

    Why are Obama's teeth bleeding?

Ummm... YES WE CAN! YES WE CAN! CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN!

That's the usual Obama-supporter response to an argument, isn't it?

Baboons, burning picture of a future country leader, as a way to signal "We hope you will be a righteous man, otherwise we will righteously send some airplanes into your cities". Such a charming way to communicate one's hopes for positive change.
Meantime, in an unrelated story, the universities of Iran managed to produce a brilliant generation of 70,000 students who learned how academically righteous it is to volunteer for suicide bombings in Israel. iran 70000 students - Google Search
I say Obama found the perfect nation to be allies with and the perfect nation and religion to promote on the international stage.

It seems a bit early to be burning Obamas photo (when does Bush leave exactly ?) but did the Iranian government say ok 'lets' burn Obamas photo' or was it just the usual people outside of any government who did it independently?
