Saudi Man Beheaded

Authorities in Saudi Arabia have beheaded a Saudi man convicted of killing a fellow national after a dispute. An Interior Ministry statement says Khaled Ahmad was executed Sunday in the northern town of Arar. He was convicted of stabbing to death his compatriot Sultan al-Ruwaili in an argument. The statement did not explain the nature of the dispute.

Meanwhile on Gaza:
Saudi Arabia said the international community should do more to stop Israeli "barbarity" in its military offensive against the Gaza Strip.

Common occurance out there.
I know a few civil engineers who were in a group that were made watch a public execution.
Just to prove that the Saudi authorities didn't tolerate crime.
Its only a chat, we ain't the world council.
In 2000 the Women's Institute in Britain gave Tony Blair the slow hand clap to demonstrate their contempt.
It was dignified, restrained and effective.Doesn't Bertie deserve the same scorn. No shouting, no abuse, no agression just a relentless slow clap whenever he speaks in public would be enough to end that man's presidential fantasy.

Iran has also stoned two "adulterers" to death and like the Saudis are in a lather about the "Zionists" News - World: 'Two men stoned to death in Iran'. Islamic hypocracy knows no bounds.

And in Yemen President Ali Abdullah Saleh renewed his call for an immediate cessation of the Israeli “aggression”.

So you believe because Saudi Arabia executed a murderer, that they have no justification in calling on the belligerent Zionist State to cease its slaughter of innocent civilians, wow ...there's a warped sense of equivalency

Hold on, the USA has been executing people at an alarming rate for decades. Gas chambers are a legal method there (last used 10 years ago according to wiki). Not to mention the fact that up until recently executing those under the age of 18 is legal in some states.

They would rather focus on those nasty Arabs though if you don't mind?

Of course not. But it means anything they say carries considerably less credibility. Throw in the fact SA is an undemocratic, hateful sh*thole, and that reduces their moral authority to, basically, zero.

And it's a bit unfortunate that you criticise a perceived moral equivalence in your post and then go on, rather conveniently, to change the word "beheaded" to "executed". If that isn't parsing language in an effort to establish a moral equivalence to help your argument, I don't know what is.

Huh? What's that got to do with anything? Gas chambers are only marginally less repugnant than beheading and stoning. Well, considerably less repugnant in truth, but once you're in this game at all it matters little which side happens to be the sickest.
