Still, it's hardly surprising there was such a low turn out. People do realise that Hamas represents hate and terrorism in Gaza and not the Palestinian interest. Most people know that Hamas has ruined Gaza's ties with the whole world, except for Syria and iran. They led the Palestinians, who they are supposed to represent, to disaster. I'm not surprised there was a low turnout at that march today. People don't want to be associated with, or be seen to support, a group like that.
Ha ha, there are more people waiting on a 19a on O'Connell Street every rush hour than there were at the "Pro Israel" rally today. RTE said there were 100 people. Well if you included the press maybe there was, a pathetic turnout for a pathetic event!

    That's 100 too many.

I support Palestine but you really are a piece of work. Maybe anyone that supports Israel should be deported and have done with it.

Indeed, anybody supporting the massacre of children should be deported. I would say the same about Nazi sympathisers in occupied France who in effect aided the Holocaust.

It got people out in protest against Israel's actions. Four friends of mine that wouldnt normally attend a rally of this nature attended. Worldwide, people came out and lent support. A success to me is gauged by the fact that numbers were 1. way up on last weeks event and 2. It made the numbers at todays counter demo more laughable.

I am now convinced you are a Zionist troll whose purpose on the site is to make the pro-Palestinian side look nuts.

As for your 'friend' JCSkinner, I fear he is for real. I think he is just your average common or garden anti-semite.

A success in my mind would be that the powers that be in Israel were so horrified by the sight of worldwide protests that the bombs stopped falling on Gaza.

Your measure of success might be more realistic but I think the people of Gaza would prefer mine. I somehow doubt they were worried about the numbers that would turn up at a counter demonstration
