I support the right of Israel to bring terrorists to swift and immediate justice. I do not support the targetting of covilians. I am opposed to all innocent fatalities. Unlike most people on this site, I regret the deaths of Israeli as well as Palestinian civilians.

Well, the left backed a 'No' for Lisbon but essentially what you're saying is right. To read P.ie one would think that everyone is completely anti-Israel. This is not the case. In work during the week not one single person expressed animosity towards Israel. In fact, the general consensus was one of surprise that Israel took so long to hit back after so much provocation. I think those who post sensationalist posts condemning Israel should give a more balanced account of events. The ultra-dramatic hyperbole, as usual, is actually a turn off for the cause they espouse.

Willing it to be so won't make it so. If anything, the Gardai usually over-estimate these things. While I was monotirng the demonstration, I didn't see one single person carrying a sign condemning the murder of Israeli civilians. But, of course, they're just Jews.

Several times I shouted, "thats a f-ing stupid idea". Some of the boycott idea sare rediculous, like banning Israeli films and music. Also there were jews and there, and some speackers did mention what Hamas is doing is wrong.

I move in a pretty volatile political circle and whilst nobody is happy with the unintended deaths of civilians in Gaza, I have heard one clear-cut admonition of Israel (that includes in my local!). Anyway, I believe what you're saying - I just wonder where all these people were today.
