Thats why Livni was able to declare war upon gaza whislt standing on egyptian soil .
much the same way as Rumsfeld declared war upon Iraq while standing in Co Clare . Egypt has irish style neutrality .
its clear whose side the arab governments are on when it comes to imperialism, whatever their rhetoric; petroleum can mess with your head...

people criticise and protest israel right now, but perhaps egypt would be a better target.
there is a massive difference between egyptian public opinion and government action - the ratio of popular pressure:US funding is far higher than in israel.

and it would help end the humanitarian blockade and make palestinian lives better.

Of course not everyone in the Zionist state is for the war either, so it would appear there is a massive difference between public opinion in the Zionist state and the Zionist government. Al Jazeera English - News

id disagree . Theres no doubt a small minority of israelis are outraged and opposed to these actions by their governemnt , but the fact is this is to a large extent a pre election exercise in jingoism . Therefore an attempt to curry favour with mainstream Israeli public opinion which firmly believes the palestinians are fully deserving of their fate and which largely supports these atrocities.

Indeed, the fact that this slaughter was engineered to detract support for an even bigger war monger in the shape of Netanyahu speaks volumes about the mindset of ordinary Israelis at the moment

You simply cannot expect people to sit idly by and allow you and your kind to decimate the population. Hamas have an obligation to defend its people from Zionist aggression whether it be an economic blockade or military action. Frankly I commend Hamas for their restraint, they have endured much and were pushed to the edge. The Zionist State is responsible for every Zionist civilian that dies in the occupied land of Palestine. I might also add that your deliberate embedding of military personnel (everyone over the age of 17) in towns and villages is a reprehensible act, putting the lives of civilians at risk while you carry out operations.
The attacks on israelis began immediately after they withdrew from gaza. And once Israel withdrew they were not responsible for the Gazan people. The Palestinian people wanted israel to withdraw and Israel did. Israel declared an end to military rule in Gaza and left. There is no reason for the palestinians to have kept on attacking Israel. They were sending in suicide bombers and launching rockets long before the border restrictions were put in place. The border restrictions were put in place in response to these attacks.
