Americans block UN Security Council ceasefire call.

According to BBC News the Americans have blocked a UN Security Council statement calling for a ceasefire. The Ambassador just stated:
"We are not going to equate the actions of the member state Isreal with the actions of the terrorist group Hamas".
He's talking here about one of the few countries in the world that openly operates biowarfare and chemical warfare WMD programs, one of only 21 non-signatories to the international anti biowarfare treaty. Why was it the Americans invaded Iraq again?
    More sickening hypocrisy from Amerikkka.

While US policy since Johnson has always been very pro-Israel. at least under Bill Clinton the US sometimes went along with or abstained from some UNSC resolutions criticising Israel, even if sometimes the tone had to be toned down. We can but hope for a similar approach from Obama, hopefully as a step towards an end to the pro-Israeli bias with it's "see no evil - hear no evil" approach to Israel and its works. But I doubt it.

Somebody has to hold the Isrealis in check. If they continue to be given a free hand then there will only be more bloodshed and suffering of innocent civilians both Isreali and Palestinians.

UN Security Council fails to agree on Gaza statement - Yahoo! News UK
It would be farcical if it wasn't so despicable.

Groundhog day at the UN then, again...I wonder do any of the puppet diplomats feel like standing up and screaming, mid pointless futile debate.

At the end they will just have a load of mealymouthed words that Israel will ignore anyway.

    Pathetic.

In the meantime, this is Gaza.

According to BBC now the French and British express dissapointment that there was a 'general convergence' of opinion in regard to a ceasefire statement but the Americans have blocked any statement at all from being released.
What's a few more dead civilians to the Americans after all.

It's ridiculous that a representative of a state like lybia calls for a resolution in the UNSC.

Talking about hypocrisy, there was no mention of Hamas firing rockets on Israeli civilians.

This is absolutely outrageous that such a country holds a seat in the SC.

Wwhat's more sickening is the voices here, as leftist as they might be, protecting the terrorist entity of Hamas, but on the other hand, it's expected. There is no disappointment here.

The Isrealis have killed more Palestinians in the last week than Hamas have killed Isrealis in years, indeed maybe more than in total. But that isn't the issue, I'm not a Hamas supporter. You don't have to support Hamas to oppose Isreali aggression and butchery of civilians.
Opposition to Zionism doesn't automatically equate to support for Islamism, no matter what cyber Zionazis would have us believe.

Maybe opposition to Zionism doesn't automatically equate support for Islamofascists, but it most certainly is antisemitism, as it's the denial of Jews for self determination, and only them.

That's drivel. The content makes about as much sense as the phrasing. Your argument would suggest that opposition to Nazism equates to hatred of Germans, opposition to the orange order equates to sectarianism and not liking the Cosby Show equates to racism.
I'm far from an anti semite and I wish that the truly semetic people, namely the Palestinians, were treated with some human decency by the nominally Semetic Isrealis.
