    Mark Felt, the secret informant 'Deep Throat' in the Watergate scandal that led to the downfall of US President Richard Nixon in 1974, has died aged 95.

    What a service he did for his country. After this incident was revealed people in the US stopped taking for granted the idea that corruption and wrongdoing was impossible at the highest level of their government, for that achievement alone the man was a hero.

    RIP to a real patriot!!


    Awful pity he did not see an end to corruption in his country but when called on he stood tall and did the right thing!!

    I wonder how the rest of us would have fared in his place!!
