Britain plots Zimbabwe invasion say Mugabe

Zimbabwe's government has accused former colonial ruler Britain of using a cholera epidemic to rally Western support for an invasion of the collapsing southern African nation, a state-run newspaper said on Sunday.

They're right that's what the British are up to.

But the BA is so stretched these days that they havn't the troops or the logistical backup to do this on their own.

This will be Invasion by Proxy using South African forces mostly backed by smaller contingents from local Commonwealth States and with the British Military providing a certain amount of 'teeth' - probably a Combat Brigade at most for the initial Invasion backed by Airpower.

The Brits would want a very limited time frame- in and out within three months for all but Military/Political advisors.

It will be well into next year though before all this is put together.

Zimbabwe will have to go down the tubes a good bit more B4 the time is ripe to topple Mugabe.

Do you honestly believe the brits want to take over this country, I mean that is stupid, why would you want to take over that mess.. all they need to do is send over a special forces team and take that ************************* out with a bullet to the head. His cronies will then take to the hills.

It's just a lie. Mugabe has been lying for years about anyone who dares criticise his thug regime, and Britain, of course, tickles all the right bones...

The Brits won't want to be publically involved in any Zim invasion. The more likely scenario is that the SADF along with a possible coalition of other African forces would go into Zim to ostensibly sort the Cholera problem out.

Cde. Bob's mad crusade to shut down the very white farms that provided Zim's wealth was the start of this whole sorry business and I fear it will take a lot more than three months of military occupation to get Zim back on its feet again.

As the ex colonial power the UK has an obligation to the unfortunate people of Zimbabwe. But they will not exercise it; they have more to concern themselves with just now. They may send in an SAS unit to take out Mugabe, shouldn’t be too difficult really as his personal bodyguards would not be exactly out of the top drawer. All the whites in Zimbabwe should of course leave ASAP. They are mostly of British / Irish extraction and should come back home for their own safety. The people of Irish extraction will be very welcome here and of course they can claim citizenship under the grandparent rule.

If only there was truth in this.

Obviously Mugabe is once again using the threat of Britain to build support and to try to distract attention away from his government's failures such as the cholera epidemic.
