Will obama end up continuing bush foreign & security policy?

Listened to a correspondent on newstalk suggesting that obama will end up keeping troops in iraq and keep guantanamo bay open as the security risks of reversing these policies will become clear. I suspected that obama would talk the talk but fluff the walk. Do you agree.

IMO this guy will rapidly become a Big Disappointment.

Though I think in fairness to him he might be less hawkish than Bush.

Except on Iran of course where there is a broad spectrum of opinion within the US political Establishment that the Iranians must not get the Bomb.

You weren't listening to Michael Graham on George by any chance were you( a yank)
He is SO up his Bushs backside he can count his molars, fillings, caps and crowns individually.
Graham is a right wing LUNATIC the right hook have on every Friday at 5.30.

I turn it off now, used to listen but it fried my brain to hear the excuses spouted from this man.
Ruairi Quinn tore strips off him a few weeks ago.Classic radio!!!

What date was that Quinn show as it would be worth listening to. Graham is another fake conservative who spews 3 hours a day here on one of the two major talk stations. It could be worse Hook could have Jay Severan on from the same station who is an even bigger phoney.

I expect things to not only stay the same but to get worse.

Bush was planning on withdrawing troops anyway - Obama wants to take them from Iraq and send them to Afghanistan. He has spoken about bombing Iran and even has Fox News complementing him on his sound foreign policy - it will be business as usual.

I heard that show. It was quite funny. You could tell that Quinn was itching to tackle Graham and must have swotted up especially for the show.

Graham sounded as if he was thinking "who is this guy?"

Graham is good though. I sometimes listen to his show on WTKK, especially during the last election. There was no possibility of getting any balance on Irish radio.

Perhaps antidote is a better description than "balance"

The Irish media were engaged in an Obama love-fest. However I found their cheerleading a little sickening. Graham's show provided a good counterbalance and an opportunity to find out what the other half of America thought.

yes, the Irish media did engage in an obscene lovefest with Obama but the jizz will be all over their faces within 6 months. . .
