Who are we expected to believe? Investigative journalists from a reputable newspaper or an anonymous poster?

Meanwhile Pakistan is taking action against the jihadi nutjobs

Let's see if this turns out to be true.

Also, let's see what other evidence is produced in this case.

And now... a former US Naval Commander points out the incredibility of the Mumbai story, but hey, that won't stop almost everyone on this board from accepting what they want to hear in their usual blinkered fashion.

I read that India is telling its citizens to get out of Pakistan and that a blast in Lahore a few days ago is being blamed on Indian Agents.

Also that Pakistan's 14th Army Division is being moved to the border with India + all military Leave has been cancelled.

Is this all true and if so what is happening exactly?

Thanks for any info you have.

Hi... I read the same. I am in Ireland at the moment. I flew from Lahore a few days back.

I think this is all just posturing. I don't expect there to be a war between India and Pakistan any time soon.

I will be back in Lahore next week, then Islamabad, and will post an update.

As I mentioned before, I saw anti aircraft guns on the roofs of buildings in Islamabad for the first time in the almost 3 years I've been there... so something is afoot.

    OK thanks for the info;

I hope your right - this went down to the wire in January 2002 IIRC but India backed off as the losses would have outweighed the gains.

Can't see what has changed since though as its a given India cannot conquer Pakistan.

    See here though:

India is moving three full Army Corps to close to the border in the Punjab.

That sounds like a bit more than posturing to me.

US Urging Calm As Tensions Rise Between India, Pakistan

Yes, the US is urging calm, because a troop buildup on another countries border is very bold:

I can imagine Bush's call to the Indians now
Bush: "what are you guys doing? PAKISTAN HAS NUKES, your meant to attack defencless third world countries with FICTIONAL nukes, you don't attack them if they have ACTUAL nukes....they might use those nukes to nuke you! why do you think we never invaded North Korea?, you fools!, attack Bangladesh or something, they'll greet you as liberators, trust me"

Where are all these people who were calling me a mad man, now?

The global police agency Interpol says India has not shared any information with it about last month's deadly attacks in Mumbai (Bombay).

Interpol secretary general Ronald Noble, who is in Islamabad, said its only knowledge of what happened had come from the media.

Pakistan also says it has had no firm information from Delhi.
