Kroft: There are a number of different things that you could do early pertaining to executive orders. One of them is to shutdown Guantanamo Bay. Another is to change interrogation methods that are used by U.S. troops. Are those things that you plan to take early action on?

Obama: Yes. I have said repeatedly that I intend to close Guantanamo, and I will follow through on that. I have said repeatedly that America doesn’t torture. And I’m gonna make sure that we don’t torture. Those are part and parcel of an effort to regain America’s moral stature in the world.

Maybe the Irish government could suggest that Guantanamo should be closed again tomorrow. Their principled stance must pay off eventually... close analysis of this video shows a man on the point of cracking.

He will keep to his word that America doesn't torture.

Then he will ensure that the CIA and its other agencies employ people to torture who are not US citizens employed by agencies who are not owned or run by the US. Of course the non US agency who does this will have a contract to run a washroom at a 7-11 for $25M a month.

He can stand back and say "Yes Sirrrreeeeee we do not torture."
