You don't have too be a nutter to want to get the foreign occupiers and oppressors outs, I'd say it's pretty logical wouldn't you?

I see, he was just there because he really believed in the cause! Of course he was a mercenary FFS.

Again, true, but the lads in Afghanistan would gladly see us dead just for not sucking up to a fraudulent caraven raider/paedophile. They're less motivated by nationalism than religion, which is the major difference between our lads back in the day and them.

    Hence, they're nutters.

The same is true of joining the Yanks, la Légion Étrangčre, etc

No, it wouldn't. Displaced and dead, perhaps.

The single largest death figure attributed to the British Empire is approx 40 million, due to famine/disease in India.

According to some British historians, Britain is responsible for the deaths of 80m people since WWII ended.

    He's a mercenary, a traitor and a trained killer.

They are probably peeded off with people turning up in their country - after all, they are hardly at the forefront of armanents.

They're more pissed off that they can't stone or shoot people to death at a whim for breaking Islamic law, anytime/anywhere they like, and that their country is being run by a load of infidels.
