Nah, with 30 main battle tanks, you could shell Dublin to pieces but you couldn't take it. The tanks would get stuck in the city itself, too many narrow streets.

airport , leinster house house , financial centre , certain pub in drumcondra -- you could have a good scud at dublin castle too if you manouvred a bit and fired to the left . Incendiary shells would do the rest

Tanks just a lot of scrap unless you have all the equipment, spares, know how and armaments to use them. Typically barrels need replacing after 30-40 rounds, depending on age and quality of the equipment.

anway my plan would involve staunch lads of the type youd find in ballybunion riding shotgun equiiped with the right weaponry
as well as lists of names
and were talking about dublin being defended by often overweight people with sensitive ears . Theyd have a hard enough time coping with the inevitable looters much less merles tank division
