Being pro-factual does not preclude one from being pro-peace.

Incorrect, he agreed with someone elses statement of facts about Pakistan. But don't let mere facts get in the way of you making a fool of yourself.

On the BBC tonight the owner of the Marriot claimed there was no government function there and none cancelled. He said the Marriot in any case was not big enough for such a function, and given there was a function going on when the bombing took place the government claim seems unlikely to be true.

Perhaps a case of Zadari trying to claim this attack was intended for him when it was not?

Still no chance it was directed at the Marriott Hotel as a symbol of and in practice repository of Westerners, esp Americans?

With regard to your above statement, the geo-political 'facts' have nothing to do with my problem with Aindriu advocating attacks on civilians in Pakistan - my main concern is with the facts according to international law (and in terms of the morality, the fact of the universal declaration of human rights.) Because in his (and America's opinion) the Pakistani govt won't control the border region (more probably can't control it in my view looking at the historical facts about this region, which you might want to do yourself), he argues it is right to bomb civilians.

This was the same (illegal and immoral) decision taken by elements of the British state's security establishment in when they bombed Dublin and Monaghan in 1974, a decision which Aindriu has often, in his right-on way, suggested was a travesty.

    Hi all...

I'm in the airport awaiting a flight to Islamabad.

I was out of the country when the strike took place.

All the windows in my office were blown out and there was lots of stuff strewn around inside.

    Nobody hurt that I know...

I'll give a full report when I reach Pakistan.

The view from my window will now be of a gutted wreck with a big hole in front.

Still don't know how a truck bomb can make a 6 metre deep hole, or why the cctv footage cuts out before the blast.

If you believe the usually 'western' media, the U.S. is still an ally of Pakistan and India is still a neutral country. In reality the U.S. and India are allied in a war against Pakistan and China.
