Interview with Falun Gong pracitioner in China

    Hi Folks,

This article is very touching and worth reading, especially with the Olympics only weeks away.

    http://www.theage.com.au/world/undergro ... -3l2p.html

This particular article is about Falun Gong. How many millions of people in China are scurrying around in the shadows like outlaws in China because the Communist party does not like what they stand for. It really is criminal that the CCP has been awarded these games and that everyone is willing to attend and play along.

Innocent people hide in dark corners while the gangsters throw a party and the whole world is invited, and surpise surprise, the whole world is coming with gusto!

I remember finding out about Falun Gong and it still saddens me when I hear about it. It is a prime example of Chinas human rights abuses. These people were no threat to the regieme yet because they made them nervous the persecution began. A real shame.

No - The Chinese Government is quite correct - Falun Gong is an EVIL CULT.

While I find the Falun Gong's persecution disturbing, I am also disturbed by reports of their own practices...

It's not just the Falun Gong, you can guarantee there are many people who have been bulldozed out of their homes, without compensation in order to build the Olympic Village.

However, how scandalous is it that China were awarded the games? Not so long ago, Sydney was awarded the games, was there the same outcry over previous treatment and current social exclusion of Aboriginies in Australia? If we are setting the bar as 'must adhere to human rights in order to host the Olympics', who would qualify?

They should return the Olympics to Athens and keep it there... permanently.

    Celtic Atheist,

    What do you mean?

I have practiced Falun Gong for nearly ten years. I can highly recommend it. For the first year I researched it thoroughly as I couldnt believe it could be free with no strings attached, I found nothing other than innocent people being persecuted for what they believe in.

If you have genuine concerns about the practice, then lets debate them and see do they stand up to scrutiny.

I didn't say I believed the reports of Falun Gong crimes, I said I found them disturbing.
Still, even said reports were benign in comparison to what the Communist party has done...
