    Johnson elected Mayor

Boris Johnson has been elected Mayor of London. Quite unbelievable when seeing their respective speeches.

A disaster for Labour becomes a catastrophe when Labour cannot even hold London!!!

Depression. Ken for all his faults had a real interest in London, not sure Boris has the same passion for the place.

As yet we do not know the Assembly make up. It may be that there is a check on Boris.

Looked at positively we may have some interesting press in the coming years. Actually Boris is a lot cleverer than he often acts. He has a better understanding of Europe than many of his colleagues, he is another maverick, Cameron will find him a mixed blessing.

    See how it pans out.

He was kept under wraps for the campaign, can only wonder what will happens when he gets loose. Hard to expect Livingstone to get a third term. He is an interesting case study about how to bring your policy gaenda to fruition...arguably more so than New Labour in government.

Interesting commentary on news progs...Boris now one of the most senior tories in UK! How will he square multi-ethnic London with Tory policies.

They're cheering now but this could all end in tears, Cameron doesn't want any embarressments or clangers
