The UN has passed a resolution on 28 March 2008 speficially to protect Islam from criticism. WHile the rest of the report mentions other racist concerns, Islam was the *only* one identified as requiring specific protection from criticism.

In a resolution on combating defamation of religions, the Council expressed deep concern at attempts to identify Islam with terrorism, violence and human rights violations; invited the Special Rapporteur on racism to report in particular on the serious implications of Islamophobia to the Council at its ninth session; and requested the High Commissioner for Human Rights to submit a study compiling relevant existing legislations and jurisprudence concerning defamation of and contempt for religions to the Council at its ninth session.
I wonder how they feel about identifying that Islamic Sharia-law marriage of the 8 year old and 30 year old? I wonder how they feel about the human rights violations of the slave workers in Dubai? Or the rest of the endless evidence of Islam's demand that you - above all - SUBMIT to it's will. Included in this resolution was specific criticism of media which linked Islam with terrorisim. This was for the benefit of the Dutch and Netherland natives who need to know that Islam will not tolerate their free speech, their free media or their right to decide their own border and immigration policies by democratic vote.

More special treatment for the new marxists? And ideally undereducated and subservient population to replace the far too knowledgable native population? If I was a government, I know which one I'd rather have!
