Beach body is police inspector Published: 13 Mar 2008A BODY found washed up on Sandbanks in Dorset today has been identified as that of a police officer.
Neil Munro’s body was discovered on the shore of Panorama Road, nicknamed Millionaire’s Row, in Sandbanks, Dorset, at around 8.30am.
Earlier reports indicated the 43-year-old Bournemouth police inspector is thought to have suffered serious head injuries but police would not confirm if his death was suspicious.
Mr Munro, who was married with a young son, was found fully-clothed.
His death is being treated as “unexplained” and a post-mortem was being carried out to find out how he died.
