    Serbian troops enter Kosovo

Its seems that Belgrade has upped the ante in the last 24 hours coming hot on the heels of the illegal border posts being destroyed.

    This from the Guardian.

There's something in the water in Belgrade. And the most worrying thing is, this is a moderate government!

There is a case for Serbia to retain north of Mitrovecia and perhaps prompt action will preserve that territory for Serbia. I would imagine you will hear noise from serb territory in Bosnia and Croatia once this precedent has been set also.

If NATO armies go to war, I'm interested in dates and venues for anti-war rallies in Ireland.

Well unless the Serb army goes in and starts shooting everyone of military age and capability again...nobody will be going to war with anyone.

American and Israeli embassies. As a rule of thumb.

Unless Serbia properly invades Kosovo then I can't see there being a war and if that happened NATO will be acting in a defensive manner and would in reality have no choice, but to do so.

What's Israel to do with this one?

"In a defensive manner"? You mean Kosovo is a NATO member?

The problem with NATO is that it is not a strictly defensive alliance. Otherwise the Yugoslavia debacle of 1999 would not be possible under its wing.
