Jaysus could yeahs be any more of dry sh*tes? Show a bit of pride ffs! Lets face it, it deserves to be a holiday more than any other day of the year, and another thing is people of every ethnicity over there celebrate it, its not just a holiday for the Irish community, and probably unifies the country a hell of a lot more than Thanksgiving!

There's no comparison between Thanksgiving and St. Patrick's Day, for God's sake.

For your information, since you don't seem to know, the former is about fifty times more important in the US than the latter.

Oh gawd. Yet another excuse for Yanks to pore poisonous Green dye in their rivers, wave sticks in the air, say "top of the morning" to you instead of "Have a nice day" in McDonalds, drink gallons of Guinness, listen to Bing Crosby croon "to ra lo ra lo ra' and get all weepy about the 'oul sod' even if they haven't a drop of Irish blood in them and couldn't find 'Oirland' on the map!

It is enough to make me turn green with sickness.
