Riots in Netherlands similar to France Riots.

Netherlands is known for being tolerant and laidback...Still 'Youths' from North Africa prefer to riot like France.

It has been an unusually violent week for Amsterdam's western Slotervaart district. Cars were torched and youths clashed with police on several consecutive nights after a 22-year-old ethnic Moroccan was shot dead at a police station. He was killed by a policewoman he had just stabbed a number of times. The riots that followed reminded Amsterdam's Chief Commissioner Bernard Welten of a major nightmare for Western European cities: violence on a Parisian scale.

No, he's obviously right. I mean, it has to be typical, or else the riots in Holland wouldn't be the same as the ones in France, would they?

My point was that all cultures are not equal...pls.note the distinction I am making between culture and people. If the state decides to bring in a bunch of people from the desert into a modern european country, there have to be efforts made to integrate them and not leave them to their own devices in ghettoes.

Hmm. Riots. Culturally typical, or typical underclass?

Oh I see. How do you think the majority of cultures would have reacted to one of their own being shot dead in a police station? What about black Americans? Or aboriginal australians? Or even Jewish Americans if they thought there was some ulterior motivation behind it? I think you'll find rioting is a common recourse when people feel the law isn't on their side. It happened in France with the massive fires that killed over 100 africans in an atrociously run, never inspected slum, it was the failure of the government to care. It now happens when the police are suspected of being biased.

You could almost argue that this violence in racially motivated. I presume it was a white copper who was in the process of being stabbed when she fired her weapon. If it was a Dutch woman of Moroccan descent who fired the gun would the same violence have occured?

After stabbing a police woman a number of times and getting shot by his victim, I don't think anyone could accuse the officer of bias. If the Moroccan had stabbed her and she went out and shot an sub-Saharen African instead, then there might be a case.

The 'suspician' needed to provoke mass violance is already ingrained in Muslim communities throughout Europe. It is symptomatic of the rank arrogance that keeps a section of Muslim society in self imposed isolation based on hostility towards alien societies. That hostilities ultimate expression is violance. It is an attitude that elevates even violent career criminals (like Richard Reed, the shoe bomber) to the status of martyr, because no matter what they have done or how far they have strayed from the path, they are still preferable (and superior) to non-believers in the eyes of the community that spawned them.
