The Glory of Muammar al-Gaddafi and the Great Socialist People's Libyan Arab Jamahiriya
Muammar al-Gaddafi was crowned King of Kings by the tribal elders of Kenya. All over Africa, Libyan oil money was used to build roads, hospitals, schools, hotels, communications systems, etc. The Libyan Jamahiriya was the driving force behind the African Union and African defense and economic security. Cables released by Wikileaks show the extreme concern of Washington at the symbolic capital that Al Gaddafi was building up in Africa - they called it Gaddafi's Soft Power. They also referred to it as "dinar deplomacy." But, its clear that they understood that the great stature of Al Gaddafi himself, with his impeccable record as a Revolutionary and Anti-imperialist, was just as important as the money. To the great alarm of Washington, Al Gaddafi was really convincing African leaders that an independent, secure, united and prosperous Africa was possible.
Obama and his crew put an end to the dream by their bestial invasion of Libya, and the brutal murder of Al Gaddafi. Libya is now a lawless land of racist and sectarian gang warfare, which has turned its back on Africa and every progressive thought.
Two years after the assassination of the Libyan Leader, Barack Obama, The Little Son of Africa, as Al Gaddafi called him, steps forward, as Macbeth did, to try to fill the garments of the King. A Grand Tour of Africa is planned, costing the bankrupt US economy up to 100 million dollars. How will Africans see Obama? A new Gaddafi? Or just another imperialist carpet-bagger, this time with a black face?
