It has often been said by politicians that the success of the Northern Peace Process is a model for solving the Arab-Israeli conflict but is this true?

No it isn't. It's highly relevant especially given the argument by supporters of Israel that the NI analogy does not apply.Originally Posted by Kerrygold
THE NI example does not apply. Apartheid era South Africa in its Bantustan era is the closest example to the Israeli-Arab conflict.

yes it is
however it is peace at any price
all murders bomberes rapists and robbers get out and get an amnesty
all spoils of war are to be kept by the criminals and their records scrubbed
it is as easy as that
the victims told to move on
install old criminals as new leaders
end.
NI "peace process" has not yielded yet anything beyond bombs not exploiding. When the whole situation is definitely resolved - then you can draw some lessons. At the moment it is just a conflict in suspension.
