Iran claims to now have 3000 centrifuges. A number that, according to the UN, would be 'a point of no return in an industrial programme'

    Fair play to Iran.

A BBC correspondent says there is some scepticism about Iran's claim, with the UN believing it is short of the 3,000
Mr Ahmadinejad has a knack for turning his country into a high priority neo-con target. he's a gift on a plate for them, their number 1 propagandist.

I always queried one thing. What do the Greens think of Irans nuclear program? Surely a conversion from oil based to nuclear based fuels is to be welcomed from their point of view?

Thats the $64,000 question. I suspect they will duck under that bridge when they come to it. Nuclear vs Oil vs regressing to a pre-industrial society.

iran as a aproud nation should not be told what to do by the neo cons in the american administration. if i were the iranians i would keep going as their enemies in america are falling like flies. the arrogance of the greatest rogue state ( america) telling the rest of the world who should or shouldnt have nuclear power is astonishing as is the weakness of the european union in all of this. just look at the disaster that is iraq and the terrorist state israel all in close proximity to iran is it any wonder that iran needs to look after itself be it nuclear power or nuclear bombs. when the house of cards fall in the bush adminitration the europesn companies will be queuing up to sell to the iranians soon

Iran is playing the same game as Saddam Hussein's Iraq - walking a tightrope in trying to claim that Iran is too powerful to be attacked but not dangerous enough to be attacked.

It will turn out to be the same puffed up coward as Saddam Hussein and will end up being zapped.
