America shouldnt have supported afghanastan in the 1980's

Instead America should have let the USSR take over afghanastan and supported the IRA. I want there to be a full scale investigation into why America didnt support Ireland.

Perhaps you weren't around then but the USSR did take over Afghanistan. The US was working to remove the USSR from Afghanistan. It was the Cold War - you may have heard about it. People in the US supported the PIRA. Now go to sleep. Children shouldn't be up this late.

I was born in 1990, its only 2218 where I live.

But the FBI should have been an ally of the PIRA as well.

I might take you more seriously if you could spell Afghanistan. The fact that you can't doesn't inspire confidence.

would you really grow the feck up ? FBI is for a start a domestic law enforcement agency and as such even if supporting a bunch of terrorist scumbags were something the US would want to do (esp when said terrorists were acting against on of the US's closest allies) it would be done via another agency.

as has been pointed out by a previous poster, some US citizens (probably of Irish extraction originally but whom had probably in the majority never been to Ireland, but had some warped Darby O'Gill and the little people image of Ireland did support IRA / republican fund raising in the 80's and 90's.

those people helped to fund the murder of many people including innocent women and children, great people huh ?

now be a good lad and stop trying to glorify terrorism

I want a full scale investigation into why your parents were allowed to reproduce.

Nah, God bless, I'm only kidding. Keep those type of posts and comments coming. They really do brighten up a grey day.

If the future of political activism and change is the hands of the next generation, I hope to God they are not all as ill-informed. Andréasft, don't get your facts off the internet, read a decent book or find a proper documentary source. You have alot to learn about the complex world that preceeded you and I have no doubt you will enjoy that learning experince no end should you make an effort.

They did support Ireland, by opposing murderers seeking to circumvent the will of the people.

The PIRA isn't a terrorist organisation, but Hamas and Al Qaeda are.
