Wasn't a big enough event. What more do you want to hear? They've pretty much covered everything of note to the world.
I suspect it has something to do with the fact its yesterdays news.

6.6 ain't that big for japan, except where it was, this is the world biggest plant in the world, they have 50! nuclear plants and apparently that isn't enough
