But no... they had to go all headline grabbing James Bond style... who'd ha thunk it...?
All this media attention seems to favour Berezovsky and his supposed desire for the reins of Russia....
    What's in it for Putin?

You've been involved in intelligence circles?
    I'm shocked too.

To think that the British Intelligence Services who did the world a great deed in finding WMD in Iraq would get rid of someone who eventually becomes no use to them is without doubt one of the most ridiculous things ever posted on politics.ie.

I used to work for the Dutch Secret Police- essentially, our job was to see that anti-marijuana politicians got elected in Europe in order to safeguard the Coffee Shops of Amsterdam.
As for this Putin thing, he is a crook, as is Berezovsky. This will do damage to Russia's international reputation, but they have the bomb and ************************loads of natural resources, so there is nothing that can be done about it.
The political establishment lacks both vision and courage.

That reminds me... from the bbc's on this day... it was on the news frontpage earlier but has been demoted...

    "
2003: Missing Iraq expert - body found
A body believed to be that of government scientist Dr David Kelly has been found in woodland not far from his Oxfordshire home.

The discovery was made at 0920 BST by a member of the police team called into search for Dr Kelly after his family reported him missing last night. "

Putin isn't a democrat and has been behaving in an increasingly erratic manner. This is the guy who has threatened to cut off oil and gas supplies to countries that oppose him. At this stage I think anything is possible with him.
