Iran refuses IAEA inspection of suspect nuclear site

The United Nation’s atomic watchdog said it failed to win access toIran’s suspected nuclear-related military base, as an Iranian general warned his country may launch a pre-emptive strike to protect its facilities.

The International Atomic Energy Agency said Iran refused permission to visit the Parchin military base during two days of talks that ended yesterday. The meetings were aimed at defusing tensions over a possible weapons component to the Islamic republic’s atomic program, which the U.S. and Israel have signaled may require an attack to prevent.

They signed the NNPT and now they are breaking it. They have threatened Israel which rightly will not take the threats lying down. Iran's own fault. If they have nothing to hide why are they hiding?

They are within their right to deny international inspectors and nobody can force them to do anything. People and nation-states say things every single day, until there is direct evidence saying that Iran will attack, or Iran actually attacks - Taking a pre-emptive strike with little to no proof is as baseless as stating Iran is plotting something, there simply is no evidence.

This move is pretty stupid on their side considering they could have really proven that they are the real victims in the situation, but clearly that's not the case. I don't know what they are hiding, they might be hiding nothing. They are denying it the same way Israel are denying it.

Which place? Close the Straits of Hormuz for a few days, you'll be paying €3 / litre pretty soon.

See that's demonstrably untrue. You can say that you don't think it's right that anyone can force them to comply, but as Iraq pretty clearly showed, it's perfectly possible to force people do what you want. They signed up to the agreement, if they want to unsign themselves then they should do that and let people draw what conclusions they want from such a move. Otherwise, you let the team in.

    Totally agree.

They are denying it the same way Israel are denying it.
I thought Israel refused to answer the question as opposed to denied it. Iran probably shouldn't try doing that.

Israel has not signed the NNPT nor have they said they will wipe anyone out. Iran are obliged to accept IAEA inspectors under the NNPT which they are not doing. They are refusing the inspectors entry to a facility where it is suspected that they are producing weapons grade uranium. Israel cannot wait until the unhinged loons in Tehran parade their nuclear warheads in Tehran.
