Will Israel attack Iran to damage Obama?

Now, I'm not usually a conspiracy theorist, but...

It's widely accepted that the Netanyahu government in Israel dislike the current US administration. Obama is probably the least indulgent American President of Israel since at least George HW Bush and James "F**k the Jews" Baker. And there's little doubt that the Israelis are really worried that if Obama is re-elected, he'll be able to fully push for a proper accommodation with the Palestinians, without having to look over his shoulder at the Zionist lobby in the US.

Obama is currently looking good in the polls, on the back of positive economic data. But an Israeli attack on Iran would surely lead to a sharp increase in oil prices, which would have a knock-on effect on US growth.

The US Defence Secretary Leon Panetta is reported to have said that there is a "strong possibility" that Israel will attack Iran in the spring. Obama has recently told the Israelis that his government favours a peaceful solution to curbing Iran's nuclear ambitions.

At the moment, Obama's re-election looks highly probable. Does Netanyahu hate him so much, and fear his return in November, that he could go to war in order to try and aid the Republicans? I wouldn't put it past him.

We've been told nearly every month for the last 3 years that Israel is going to attack Iran. Getting a bit boring by now.

Israel may launch strike on Iran as soon as next month to prevent development of nuclear weapons

CIA veteran: Israel to attack Iran in fall

    17 Jul 2011

A longtime CIA officer who spent 21 years in the Middle East is predicting that Israel will bomb Iran in the fall, dragging the United States into another major war and endangering US military and civilian personnel (and other interests) throughout the Middle East and beyond.

We write to alert you to the likelihood that Israel will attack Iran as early as this month. This would likely lead to a wider war.

Israel will do what suits themselves, and rely on their friends in Washington to cover their American flank and rear. McCain, Romney, Gingrich etc. have basically signed over making US Middle East Policy to Jerusalem.

I have no doubt Netanyahu and Co want shut of Obama, but I am not sure if they would start a war to accomplish that. Too much could go wrong.

I think after the Lebanon disaster a couple of years ago it was quickly realised that Israels army isn't fit for the bin. Their military superiority really lies with their stockpiles and their airforce. I think you can forget about invasions being attempted by this crew for the forseeable future though

Plus, falling out with Turkey makes any air attack a far more difficult proposition......

Be interesting if Obama is re-elected if hell pay back bibi for his arrogance
In front of the white house ....... Heres hoping anyway

It can only be hoped that Obama will grow a pair in his second term and not just with Israel. I do think that Israels day in Americas sun is waning however And not just with Democrats

If Israel wanted to damage Obama I'm sure there would be more cost-effective ways to do it than starting a full scale war.

Good God . The Democrats are the Israeli lobby.

If Israel strikes it will be based on how close the Iranians are to placing a warhead on a missile.

The election makes no difference to Israel as commitment from the U.S. has been policy for 64 years or so.

Ask Bobby Kennedy. Perhaps you might believe him.
