Civilian deaths in Afhan continue to rise

And like every year since the begining, most of them are indiscriminate and the result of talib savages. Thought this might be pertinent given the volume of talib-fancying and misinformation that occurs on pie. Accidental and careless deaths due to western forces started low and continue their decline. Of the Talibs, the opposite is true. Reminds me of a megadeth album from the 80's.
    All generalisations are false.

Kevin what do you think you are doing introducing facts and figures on here. You clearly haven't got the memo that every death in Afghanistan is the fault of America, or capitalists or Israel. The sad thing is the Talisavages might well take over after the yanks leave. It is a shuddering thought.

They are on course to; cheered on by the ULA, the usual suspects and the other self-despising twits. Won't dawn on them till it knocks on their front door. Mods, could you correct the obvious spelling mistake in the title pls?

General Sergei Akhromeyev, commander of the Soviet armed forces, addressed the Soviet Politburo in 1986. Sound familiar?

This strategy has been tried before â

"There is no piece of land in Afghanistan that has not been occupied by one of our soldiers at some time or another. Nevertheless much of the territory stays in the hands of the terrorists. We control the provincial centres, but we cannot maintain political control over the territory we seize."… General Akhromeyev demanded extra troops – or the war in Afghanistan would continue "for a very, very long time".

The west should with withdraw today. Leave them to it. They *want* to live in medieval hell. We should build a big wall around this part of the world with one door. Password to the door is "I am tired of this medeival bull************************. What's this science and progress thing you've got going on?"
