Iran set to ban exports of oil to EU countries.

PressTV - Iran finalizes bill to ban EU oil exports

Iran is to ban oil exports to the EU. This means that 5 to 6% our imported oil is going to go missing. Countries like Greece and Italy depend more on Iranian oil and will maybe suffer more heavily. This move by Iran is in response to EU attempts to ban imports of Iranian oil.

Seems like it is a dumb move by the EU and we in Ireland should not be supporting it.

Ireland will do what it's told by the US.
The US will do what it's told by Israel.

We can convert to sectarian, anti Brit and anti US bile which is a national natural resource that we have in abundance. We should also send fraternal greetings to our brethren in Teheran and assure them of our support in their quest for a 32 country independent Islamic republic.Their struggle is our struggle.

Unlike your pathetic gibberish about sanctions against Iran? Your gibberish is of course inspired by some sort of ill thought out anti American agenda that some bearded guy in pyjamas in the dole office told you about.

This comes after the EU banned imports, so it makes no difference except Iran loses out quicker.

The Mahon Tribunal found Olivia Mitchell to have received an inappropriate payment from Frank Dunlop at the time of the 1992 Election. F.G. Gael has taken no action against her.

Ireland doesn't get oil from Iran, so whether it's justified or not - it's not of strategic importance to us in itself.

poorrichard's blog: Iran Turns Embargo Tables: To Pass Law Halting All Crude Exports To Europe

In what is likely a long overdue move, Iran has finally decided to give Europe a harsh lesson in game theory. Instead of letting Euro-area politicians score brownie points at its expense by threatening to halt imports and cut off the Iranian economy, the Iranian government will instead propose a bill calling for an immediate halt to oil deliveries to Europe.

Did the "good Europeans" anticipate this?

If the price of oil goes up; it will surely crush what's left of our economy.
We have got as much as we are going to get out of Europe; it is, now, time to leave!
