Tony Blair signed secret deal to give joint sovereignty on Gibraltar to Spain

According to new memoirs by Peter Hain, Tony Blair signed a secret deal in 2002 to give joint sovereignty on Gibraltar to Spain.

He says Blair displayed a contemptuous attitude to the Gibraltarians.

The agreement was only shelved when some hardliner ministers on the Spanish side objected to the deal.

No wonder unionists are leery about the Mother of Parliaments.

More worrying for the rest of us.
We could be burdened with a million more lay-abouts.

Cruimh, you had better get a few bottles of Bush in, what else did he do.
There is a welcome down here for you if he cuts you out of the will. Bring a few bottles if you do, make sure it's black bush.
