Turkish officials say Israeli Drone Surveillance Data is being given to PKK

Drone Data Used to Set Up PKK Camps in Northern Syria

Officials from the Turkish intelligence agencies are reporting that surveillance data collected by Israeli drones is being given to the Kurdistan Worker’s Party (PKK) in helping them plan operations against Turkish targets.

A new report says that the surveillance has been going on for awhile, and that Turkey has caught Israeli drones flying over its southern provinces. They also say that PKK leaders have repeatedly visited Israel in recent months, presumably to get access to the data.

The consequences of the move are so far unclear, but Turkish officials believe that the data was used to help the PKK set up training camps in Northern Syria in places where the presence of border patrol isn’t as strong.

The revelation could have serious consequences for Israel’s already strained relationship with Turkey. So far Israeli officials haven’t addressed the latest claims, but in September Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman urged Israel to begin arming the PKK to “punish” Turkey for perceived diplomatic slights.
More on this from The Jerusalem Post.

And it comes in the wake of allegations that Israelis posed as US officials to recruit members of a terrorist outfit called Jundullah.

I support a free Kurdistan, I support the right of Israel to exist and defend itself, I support a Free Palestine and I support Turkish entry in to the EU.
Kurds (who are Sunni Muslims like their fellows Sunnis in Palestine) are accepting Israeli help for the same reason that Southern Irish Catholics and Northern Unionist Protestants both accepted guns from the German Empire - because that help is not forthcoming from anywhere else. But in the eyes of the Left who have decided Israel = Satan that makes the Kurds the new bad.
Once the Kurds were good because US backed Saddam and NATO Turkey were slaughtering them. Saddam became good because the US ovethrew him 'illegally' and the Kurds became bad because they readily accepted US help during the Iraq War.
Kurds = bad now means that now Iran = good because they are under attack by US and Israeli backed Kurdish 'terrorists.'
Turkey supports the breaking of the Gaza blockade so now Turkey = good because Turkey is anti-Israel.
What are the Left going to do when Turkey and Iran turn on each other?
It must be tough trying to see the world in black and white.

I think the danger of Turkey sliding into full blown Islamism are greatly exaggerated.

I would think their ongoing state sponsored terrorism makes Israel a state sponsor of terrorism.

Not according to those Turks who a few years ago marched through Istanbul carrying placards saying "No Sharia Here".
I think those people would be closer to the action. What do you think yourself ?
