Is Ireland A Terrorist Nation? Members of the GOP think so...

Rick Perry Camp Explains Suggestion That Turkey Is Led By 'Islamic Terrorists' - Yahoo! News

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - In response to a question about whether or not Turkey should still be a part of NATO, Rick Perry suggested some consider the country to be ruled by "Islamic terrorists."

"Obviously when you have a country that is being ruled by what many would perceive to be Islamic terrorists," Perry said during the debate.

Victoria Coates, foreign policy advisor to Perry, further explained the governor's remarks, saying that some view the leaders of Turkey as Islamic terrorists due to their support of Hamas and the flotilla against Israel.
According to Perry, Turkey is a terrorist nation because they recognise Hamas and aided the Freedom Flotilla. I wonder if he knows that Ireland also does both of those things. Does that mean we are a nation of terrorists as well?

The 80's sure are making a comeback round these parts.

I'm guessing that support for Hamas or the flotilla had nothing to do with it - he mouthed off about a place he knows nothing about, then his aide had to come up with a retrospective justification. Pretty much in keeping with virtually the entire Republican field this time around (bar Romney and Paul).

Maybe she should of mentioned the over a million armenians the turkish massacred if Perry had a problem with them.

It is simply though, Perry doesn't have a clue and just spouted the first thing that came to his head.

I'd have no issue with our day tripping publicity seeking freedom fighters being considered as terrorists by the CIA or someone

    And treated accordingly of course
