Israel accepts Quartet Peace Plan - Will the Palestinians do the same?

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his eight senior cabinet ministers decided Sunday to support the Middle East Quartet's plan for renewing Israeli-Palestinian negotiations within a month without preconditions

No doubt who is interested in peace. Will the palestinian side follow suit? And pigs might fly I suppose

    Not a very positive attitude!

I wonder will Israel stop encroaching on Palestinian territory? Otherwise it's pretty pointless in having negotiations.

Would you like to negotiate on wednesday with the people who will, for a fact, rob you on Thursday?

Netanyahu's not interested in peace. He wants to tie the other side up in endless talks while he steals more land.

Why would Palestinians be interested in a negotiated peace process, which is just a figleaf for Israel to expand its settlements further in East Jerusalem and the West Bank.

If talks cost Netanyahu nothing, then it's hardly indicative of a desire for peace.

Indeed, the Palestinian Papers that were leaked show this quite clearly, I'm starting to think that Israel has something on 'The Quartet'.

Who was it who said the palestinians never miss a chance to miss a chance?
What will happen is that they will procrastinate and then complain in 2 years time that the Israelis are building new settlements

They don't have to wait two years to complain. Israelis are building them now. Why should they give them a figleaf of a negotiated (yet unconditional) peace process to hide behind. If Israelis want to prove their commitment to peace, let them halt building.

Yes, after all it's too much to expect the Palestinians to do anything to move towards peace.

Wow, you really are as stupid as your avatar! The Israelis are masters in the art of deception and procrastination. While they send out mutterings of peace they will continue building settlements. The ball is in Israels court. Until they cease illegal construction there can be no peace.
