Enda's Singing didn't help.. Worse than Dervish!

About two years-ago when Enda was travelling around the country trying to build up the party support again, which I suppose you could argue he did. There was a meeting of the party faithful in the function room at the back of the foxhunter in lucan. We were drinking as usual in the snug at the back of the lounge when all the grassroots started coming in after the meeting and you could see how happy they were to have the party leader with them. After they were all seated and chuffed with themselves to have the great man come in to have a drink with them, he stuck his head into the snug and stayed there with us for the next two hours getting pissed while all his gang were outside without their leader. By the end of the night he was swaying on his stool and singing like some aul local in a pub in the back-of-beyond. And all I could think to myself was this guy wants to be Taoiseach! You wouldn't see Bertie doing that. He just quietly sips his pint of bass in the corner in fagans..
It all came back to me when I saw Enda singing "Oh what a beautiful morning" in a pub durning the campaign..
Funny it all seemed to go downhill for him after that..
    I wonder why??

Damo i think you'll find if u watch the footage that enda only joined in the singing right at the end.
They were only singing cos Frankie was on your a star, it was only a joke i doubt FG lost one vote over it.
Ive a bit of advice for u -- GET A LIFE.

actually, I mentioned this a few weeks ago on the site (before the election), and was jumped upon by some other FG posters (notably WH).

Frankly, he did look stupid singing with Feighan. He also looked triumphalistic before the election, which no doubt focused some people's minds on the idea that "hey, this guy could win".. whereupon they ran out to vote for FF

I'd have to agree with you on that one Rock..Enda did triumphalistic b4 the election...that would put non biased people off. Maybe it was bad advice from his script writers.
