The centre-right Catalan nationalists, CiU, look to have regained control of the regional parliament, winning 59 seats out of 136. The ruling Socialists have been reduced to 31, with their allies the Greens on 10 and the leftwing nationalists, Republican Left, on 8. On a final note, Solidarity for Independence, the new party launched by former Barca president Joan Laporta completely flopped, only winning one seat.
