....and Labour went out of their way to back the second Lisbon Treaty...

I just scanned Labour's 2007 manifesto (for what little merit it might be worth here) and this is what they had to say back then:

Fairly wishy-washy stuff from Labour there.

Would it be OK to mention such a thing if it were China ? Ohh.. i'm sure you could live with that.

It's becoming par for the course for people in Ireland, who harbour an irrational hatred for Palestinians and Arabs or Muslims in general, to use the Irish left as an excuse to ignore Israel fascism in the Middle East.
Believe me STB you really don't want to go there.

If you want a debate about respective education systems, Jewish or Arab there's only going to be one winner. Arab children are fed a diet, at school and on "Childrens tv" in the PA, Gaza, Lebanon, and beyond, which can only be described as the roaring of savages.

If you'd bothered to follow that blogs source you'd see that the objection was to the illustrations used - girl w/bloodstained T-shirt - and not the sentiments of the article in the declaration. But hey, why let the facts get in the way of a bit of stupid Jew bashing!!

The difference between immigration to Ireland and settlements in the West Bank is that the former might result in demand for a mosque or two, and creep out a couple people who don't like the sight of veils, while the latter results in gigantic fortresses being placed in the middle of ancient cities, the locals' houses bulldozed to make way for them, IDF soldiers being called in to "protect the settlers". If Turkish immigrants to Ireland had the Turkish government build fortresses in inner-city Dublin then I wouldn't want that kind of immigration either. If Turkish immigrants were used as a rationale for Turkey demanding that the Northside be handed over to Turkey, then I would oppose that as well. I think that Jews should be allowed to live in a free and independent Palestine, but they should have to live on the same basis as every other citizen of the country. There is no comparison between immigration to Ireland and settlements in the OPT
If you remove the English army tomorrow and hoist the green flag over Dublin Castle, unless you set about the organisation of the Socialist Republic your efforts would be in vain.[...]

It would be tantamount to a public declaration that our oppressors had so far succeeded in inoculating us with their perverted conceptions of justice and morality that we had finally decided to accept those conceptions as our own, and no longer needed an alien army to force them upon us.

Lets see if the existence of the Irish left morons justifies the cold blooded murder of four Palestinian boys by Israeli thugs.

Over a 24 hour period on 20 and 21 March 2010, Israeli occupation forces shot and killed four unarmed teenagers in the Nablus district. None were armed or posed any threat to the Israeli soldiers. These killings demonstrate a total disregard for the victims' human rights and of international humanitarian law by the Israeli occupation forces.

People have a right to be outraged at this but I am sure that one of the fascist apologist who patrol this site can apply their irrational hatred of Arabs to these murders and come up with the conclusion that it was the stupidity of the Irish left that killed them, not Israeli scumbags.

Well actually is was a bloodstained girl's doll. But hey lets not worry about that fact , however the article states clearly that : B the Education Ministry was not only upset by the illustrations: the inspectors also disqualified the book because of two sections of the declaration, considered one of the most important documents ever adopted by the international community.

But hey........... Oh fuk it , who cares what you think.

Two presumptions on your part, really, and little to do with me.
