    Yep, it is a con job alright, but standard practice that makes striking or "work to rule" (i.e. go slow) such a viable option.

    They don't lose anything in the end. May even end up better off with penalty rates invloved.

    Should have summarily sacked them and hired some people who actually want the jobs.

    What kills me is - there was no "lost earnings". They didn't do their job and they remained on full pay. By not doing their job they created a backlog. To clear the backlog they were given overtime.

    Effectively they have been rewarded for their insubordination by being given overtime. Absolutely scandalous. Senior management in the Civil Service couldn’t run a bath!

    Yes and these "socialists" are still preventing the recruitment of Temp workers (you know those on the dole that might appreciate the extra few bob) in order to hog the overtime
