Passport office staff refusing to deal with public from 1pm tomorrow

Public sector worker insulting possible private sector worker ( probably working himself to the bone, never mind having to keep up with passport office letters) whose taxes are keeping him in a job- well I never. RTE are now reporting that there are 40,000 unprocessed passports in the passport office with delays now extended out to 18-20 working days.

According to Ingred Miley the government has now issued instructions in the event of any further industrial action by staff at the passport office. This could mean staff being dismissed or pay being deducted.

Well the CPSU have gifted the government an issue on which they will have public support on so if the Unions retaliate for any action taken against civil servants in the passport office they are on a loser.

There will be diversionary tactics employed by the unions later in the week. Other offices like social welfare will start effecting the public.
