What about General Pinochet of Chile and the juntas of Argentina they were
far worse than the Hugo Chavez regime, but of course they were loyal
puppets of the US and the so-called free-marketees of Wall St.

What about etc etc etc. "People were brutes so my actions are moral." That lot may have been worse in the field of killing people, but isn't it better to compare Chavez to the current, moderate, democratic Chilean government than to cold war participants from 30 years ago?

Oh sorry , I assumed it was from the selling of oil and gas on the world markets and then using the profits to fund social programmes like free education and free health for the poor who previously had no access to such luxuries.lnkmIts a policy to be admired not to be criticised from the ususal neo liberal nuts.

And Chile today is still one of the most unequal societies in Latin America.
True Hugo Chavez has not wiped out poverty in VZA since he became
president a decade ago,but he has done a lot to help the poor and combat the inequality which has been festering in VZA for many decades, long before he became president of VZA.

It's bad by European standards, but that's simply not true.

Yawn, Cookie you may want to invest in a dictionary because you don't seem to know what the word "literally" means.
To live honestly, to hurt no one, to give every one his due.
