Eh, perhaps our more established and respected contributors on P.ie would like to set an example for others and play the ball and not the man?

Glad to see you're drawing an analogy between Scientology and Catholicism. They're both about as credible. Spacemen coming down to earth, women spontaneously getting pregnant, women ascending into space, the undead returning...

Seriously, if you compare the stories told by both religions, all are equally unbelievable

How far does it go? I'm convinced the catholic church is an overly elaborate paedophile ring.
The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people's money.

That is hardly fair. AS has made it clear that he does not, a priori, have any issue with individual Catholics; his beef is with the Catholic Church which is a different thing entirely.

Any objective and reasonable person could only conclude that the Catholic Church has been and still is a malign influence on the state. Any influence it still has on Irish society must be ruthlessly crushed.

Sounds like you're taking a day away from the Stoics, Cato!

Really so therefore complaining ad nauseum when something else that has no reference to the Catholic Church in Ireland nor in any way to Ireland is not covered by RTE is what exactly ?

The deafening silence in relation to other religions shows pretty clearly the viewpoint is against all things Catholic, nothing else.

Lets see what happened in Europe the last time a resident of Berlin was smashing religions.

Nothing in Stoicism precludes me from saying what I said. In fact oikeiósis practically demands that I take the stand that I do.
