To Hong Kong (Japan's country code TLD is .jp). It is a very interesting move as it isn't quite out of the Chinese market but it is in the SAR. The next move is up to the Chinese government - do they completely block Google or do they try to limit Google. Nice powerplay.

fixed that, thanks
going by the growling and their attempts to introduce mandatory filtration systems (which didn't work ), I
reckon they are going for the complete blockage negotiating stance.
dunno if Google is game though, probably more interested in just getting the thing running without the bullsh'it.
Heres the Irish Times : http://www.irishtimes.com/newspaper/...reaking65.html

It is definitely upping the ante. At this stage, the Chinese probably understand how useful access to search data is in terms of intelligence. To date, the Chinese have been able to more or less dictate terms to anyone wishing to access the Chinese market (Murdoch dropping BBC from his range of channels in his service aimed at China a few years ago was a good example of their bargaining power). But with Google, they don't have quite the same leverage.
Clauswitz said that war is the continuation of state policy by other means. Marketing may be one of them.dunno if Google is game though, probably more interested in just getting the thing running without the bullsh'it.
